Since the war started, millions of refugees have come to Poland. The Polish society demonstrated unprecedented solidarity and openness in accepting the war refugees into their homes, securing them with shelter and safety. However, the voices of indifference for people who fled their country due to war, started to increase.
Together with Polish Center for International Aid Foundation we developed a campaign showing that the war just outside Polish eastern border is still raging, missiles are targeted at civilian infrastructure and millions of Ukrainians had to leave their homes and separate from their families overnight.
The campaign shows the situation in Ukraine through the eyes of a few-year-old Yulia, who despite a young age, witnessed a lot. After the war started, the girl had to leave her home, leave her father, and come to Poland. Yulia started school, improved her Polish speaking skills, and made new friends. Nonetheless, her life is full of yearning and uncertainty about her dad. The war has been ongoing for 9 months. During a touching conversation with her dad, Yulia promises him to learn, grow and enjoy her daily life. Suddenly the video call shuts down.
